After two days nearly 7 hours practice, I run out of my energy...
Especially after teaching a student and 4 hours practice today, my brain is not there anymore.
See?
Practice duration really needs to be trained.
In my crazy PhD days I used to do 4 hours in the morning and 4 hours in the evening.
Coming home dead of course but at least I did it.
Now.......
I need to regain my brain energy and physical energy, up to my new practice challenge.
A bunch of new pieces await I really have no time to waste.
And the Tchaikovsky. I have been revising my Tchaikovsky concerto now, and that problem occurs again: mistakes from places to places.
Suddenly there is somewhere I just totally cannot remember clearly what should be happening.
As Stephen Osborne once said to me: "You just need to find an afternoon, sit down, take a cup of tea, and think it through."
I still haven't done it yet.
I am too bad...(lazy perhaps)
Let me survive tomorrow. And then I will find an afternoon, sit down, take a cup of tea, think the Tchaikovsky all through.
And then I will go back to the piano relearn everything note by note, phrase by phrase, as if I have never met this piece before.
I will.
Please keep an eye on me.
After all, sometime 'will' is a word that has similar functions to 'if'.
Good night.
