Everyday I hold the wish of achieving 8 hours practicing + 5 hours teaching + 7 hours solid sleep + 4 hours eating time.

And everyday I only get to achieve the last two.

Why do I even propose this question?

Maybe I just like to propose questions that I have completely no idea about the answers.

Maybe it is exactly this masochistic habit that leads me to my PhD research question.

Seriously, somebody ought to write a thesis on the topic of my unresolved question.

I even think of a title:

"Embracing the Ultimate Harmony: Exploring Balance in Pianists' Multi-Functional Life"

I think all pianists, including myself, would be willing to pay a great fortune for a copy.

Some people said life always comes first. Artists who do not know how to live are not able to produce profound music with aesthetic.

Another question emerges:

How could we pianists manage to live properly (e.g. find a partner & fall in love) on top of our 8 hours per day practicing?

Not to mention teaching.

Not to mention performing.

Not to mention researching.

Not to mention mental practice.

And not to mention that we NEED time to calm down!

Okay, I think I've got the answer now.

It is very simple.

It is a mission impossible.

Tom Cruise should add this to the next movie.

Musicians in the whole world will give the movie a standing ovation.

Good night.
